I've decided to restart attempts to get kudos from other photographers. My friend and cohort Jason G just got a 2nd place award from Better Photos. It's a really good site, and has a lot of great photographers. I myself have only gotten an honorable mention... oh well... :)

That is a beautiful picture. Well done both of you. I am still learning the ropes with my camera. Are you using a digital and how many MegaPixels?
Digital SLR at 6Mp. I'll tell ya. If you have the money, get a 3-5Mp all-in-one with some "manual" features. As a starting camera of course...
Saves you from worrying about how many shots you have. I've noticed my skill go up dramatically since I stopped having to process and print.
And J's skill has skyrocketed since he actually started shooting in digital. He hadn't even picked up a camera, till I helped him get one 2 years ago.
(Tooting my own horn a bit there, sorry.)
