Swirly Whirly

Spent a bunch more time at Glassometry today. Got some superb shots that will really improve the MacroMagno show. Laurel is a real sweety for letting me use her stuff. I'm trying not to post everything, because folks seem to skip the events if I've shown it to them on-line. I'll need about 20 to make sure that I have a good (yet limited) selection of photos to sell... Of course I'll also be putting together the best of Japan set, and a few other local things.

Speaking of the show. The Gallery cancelled/gave away my spot in the line up. I'm sure that they will give me a new spot sooner or later, but I realized that I lost all motivation to continue this project for three weeks after they decided that I wasn't going to get the spot.

Oh, well... as my Mother always says. Enjoy.

So I am quite impressed by the flex/use-ability of Picasa.  Berry handy with all the photos...

By the way, do you mind helping me get these pics out there?  Maybe reference a picture I've got out there.  I'm still totally unemployed, and I need to get some sort of traction.  I did ask a couple people if they could help, but I think people are tired of helping me.

Alright, I'll set up a Picasa account.  It looks like Google has me.  Oh well, they've got good apps, and don't really have many disclosure requirements.  Picasa has already made posting my pics tons easier.

Pulled my first set of Macro/Magno images off the camera.  Very cool stuff developing.  Need to do some tweaking with the light, but otherwise...

Back around to visit Blogger again. It seems to have retained its popularity. I suppose it's a bit more formal that F'book or Twit. I figure there's a lot for me to say these days. I'm feverishly looking for a real j.o.b. yet, there's only so much you can do. I've started watching the news again, and don't like what I see. I'm living a healthy life style compared to a year ago when things bottomed out. I have a million ideas that I may try to post on my various blogs etc. I'm glad they added the "post to F'book" stuff. I'm about to kick back and study my SEO (Search Engine Optimization .pdf.) Hope people find me again. :D

Burning Man 2009 here I come...

Yay, I get to be a burner again this year... I know it's kind of a crazy thing to do, but it's so fun. It's like visiting a foreign country or maybe a foreign planet. Anyway, it's a chance to meet some fun people, and get in on the alien invasion. This is a shot from the 2006 invasion. Pretty fun, huh?

New Specs

YAY! I can see the far trees again. It's literally been 10 years since I last got a new set of frames, and 7 since I updated my perscription. The opthamologist was quite surprised at my perscription change. So was I. Also, I'm quite surprised at my frame change. I'm still getting used to the new frames... not what I expected to choose. But _I_ like them, so whatever... ;D

Well, seems people want me to get back into this stuff... Last time I ran a blog, I was in Japan. Which meant there was no end to the new cool stuff I was doing. This time I'm home. I've got a job, and it's not beautiful weather (ever). So, the updates here may not be as much about now, as about then.
